Chancellor Academy is a school that serves

non-traditional 6th-12th grade students from diverse communities who have been unable to achieve success in reaching their true potential in other educational settings.

Chancellor Academy’s Mission is to ensure students acquire the necessary tools, skills, attitudes, opportunities and experiences to mature emotionally, develop socially, and progress academically according to their level of ability in order to become productive participants at home, at school and in the community.

Expectations at Chancellor Academy

School Wide Expectations

The following behaviors are expected:

Remaining on school grounds,
Not smoking,
Eating only in designated areas at assigned times,
Exhibiting appropriate hallway behavior,
Exhibiting appropriate outdoor behavior,
Being on time for all classes.

Classroom Expectations

The teacher will provide students with a clear understanding of behavioral expectations in the classroom.

1.         Arriving on time,
2.         Respecting self and others,
3.         Using appropriate language,
4.         Respecting school property,
5.         Remaining in class until dismissal,
6.         Making every effort to complete class work and homework,
7.         Asking teachers/counselors for help when needed,
8.         Participating in all class activities,
9.         Demonstrating a positive attitude,
10.       Following school rules, and
11.       Using time constructively.
