Counseling at Chancellor Academy
Chancellor Academy’s counseling program is an essential component of Chancellor Academy’s Behavior Management Program which is designed to ensure that each student meets their IEP determined social, emotional, academic and behavioral goals.
Counselors are the primary liaisons for students, parents, teachers, district child study teams, external agencies, and other assisting professionals. They aid the student in building the trusting relationships that foster the development of the interpersonal communication skills necessary for achieving respect for themselves and others.
Chancellor Academy has two psychologists and four counselors on its Counseling Staff.
Counselors address each student’s needs through individual counseling and crisis intervention action on an as needed basis and through weekly group counseling sessions with the student’s core group.
