Chancellor Academy is a school that serves

| non-traditional 6th-12th grade students from diverse communities who have been unable to achieve success in reaching their true potential in other educational settings. Chancellor Academy’s Mission is to ensure students acquire the necessary tools, skills, attitudes, opportunities and experiences to mature emotionally, develop socially, and progress academically according to their level of ability in order to become productive participants at home, at school and in the community.

Computers and Technology at Chancellor AcademyChancellor Academy maintains three comprehensive computer labs featuring thirty state of the art computers with the associated hardware, software and high speed internet access needed to provide a secure, safe and effective learning environment. Students obtain the technical expertise to confidently use Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets), Word (word processing), Publisher (desk top publishing), Access (databases), Outlook (e-mail) and PowerPoint (presentations). In addition , three of our present classrooms are outfitted with SmartBoards to aid and assist in lesson presentation. Students also learn how to effectively and ethically use the internet for research. Students are encouraged to use the computer labs, classroom computers and “Alphasmart” word processors to complete academic assignments. |
